Supply chain security, built in Copenhagen

ShieldedStack is a small, independent startup based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We build a dependency firewall that runs on your infrastructure, under your control, and we build it together with the teams who use it.

Why ShieldedStack exists

ShieldedStack began with a concern Alex kept returning to: software teams build on infrastructure they do not control. Some of the most-used public registries, npm and NuGet among them, are run by a single company, and every build that pulls from them depends on that company's decisions.

His first approach was to run package mirrors in the EU. The work shifted his focus to helping teams control what enters their builds, and keep a record of what was installed.

ShieldedStack gives them that control. It runs on your infrastructure, enforces your rules before a package reaches a developer or a build server, and keeps every request, decision, and audit record in your own database.

Alex has a background in network engineering, and it shows in the design: ShieldedStack is a proxy that every package request passes through, so one set of rules covers every developer, build server, and package manager without changing their tools.

What we stand for

The reasons ShieldedStack was founded, and the rules we still build by.

Built in Europe

Most of the security market is owned outside the EU. ShieldedStack is a Danish company, built and operated in Copenhagen, so the tool guarding your supply chain answers to European law wherever you run it.

Your data stays yours

ShieldedStack runs on your infrastructure. There is no telemetry, no heartbeat, and no license server. Your package activity, audit trail, and keys stay in your database, under your retention rules.

Independent by choice

ShieldedStack is self-funded. We are not building it for an exit or a quarterly target. The product grows at the pace our customers need, and the decisions about it are made by the people who build it.

Built with our customers

Every customer talks directly to the people writing the code. We work with your team on the features and policies your security posture actually needs, and that work shapes the roadmap.
